CANADIAN AND INTERNATIONAL REGGAE MUSIC AWARD (CAIRMA)
MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the Canadian and International Reggae Music Award (CAIRMA) is to acknowledge and honor the accomplishments and contributions of Canadian and international reggae music artists, songwriters, performers, promoters, producers, musicians, studio engineers, distributors, festival promoters, television/radio stations, (online/off line) magazine focusing on reggae music. In addition, recognizing sound system owners, operators, deejays, artist managers, road managers, tour managers, booking, management and tour agencies, music labels, recording studios, videographers, and music video directors.
Produced by the Canadian Reggae Music Association in association with Rastafest Inc and Masani Productions Inc, the inaugural CAIRMA will be staged on Saturday, November 4, 2023 as part of the annual Canadian Reggae Music conference. The impetus behind the CAIRMA is its commitment to promote greater participation and acceptance of reggae music in Canada and the global reggae music industry.
